IT’S EASIER TO BREAK AN ATOM THAN A PREJUDICE

AN INTERSCHOLASTIC THEATRE WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS OF SECONDARY SCHOOLS

PREMISE

In the recent years Italian school has changed. The number of students per class is growing, classes are more and more varied.
The role of teachers changes and students are keeping their distance from a system they perceive as alien. To promote dialogue between different areas of the city, Fondazione Teatro due organizes an interscholastic theatre workshop.
The participants will take care of every aspect of the theatre machine.

WHO ARE THE PARTICIPANTS?

Students and teachers for a maximum of 50 participants. It is not required to have any previous knowledge but it is necessary to partecipate actively and with continuity to every part of it.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The workshop will take place between December 2019 and April 2020, once a week. It is possible that by the end of the workshop days of rehearsals will be add for the final performance.

WHAT IS THE EDUCATIONAL INTEREST?

To begin a course of theatre that includes students and teachers means to set at least three goals:

– To create a rich opportunity where different generations meet together in a space where there are less boundaries and it is therefore easier to find out the potentiality of the relationship between student and teacher;
– To create a neutral space, where students and teachers cooperate on a creative level;
– To offer to students at teacher a different space – the theatre space- where it is possible to discover new needs and desires that can play an important part at school, a change of perspective on their roles.

SUBSCRIPTION AND COST

It is required to the participants students to buy a Theatre Cards including 5 shows chosen between those of Fondazione Teatro Due 2019/2020 program. Cost: € 34 + € 30 for the membership.
It is required to the participants teachers to buy a Theatre Cards including 5 shows chosen between those of Fondazione Teatro Due 2019/2020 program. Cost: € 50 + € 30 for the membership.
