A musical duo who, armed with their respective instruments, ‘battle’ it out to the very last note, offering fresh takes on a wide variety of musical genres – from choro to instrumental versions of singer-songwriter tunes, and from klezmer to swing and jazz.

Fabio Biondi, violinist and leader of the Europa Galante ensemble, presents the fourth edition of the Farnese Festival, which he is directing. A fascinating exploration of the musical output of composers associated with Parma in the 17th and 18th centuries, ranging from the Farnese court to the great European musical cultures of the time, beginning with that of Spain.

A captivating musical journey through the evolution of the most passionate genre of all time, taking the audience from its working-class origins in the brothels of Buenos Aires to the refined concert halls of Europe. Los Choclos Trio recreates the authentic, melancholic atmosphere of tango, blending technical virtuosity with profound expressiveness. The programme charts an emotional journey that spans traditional tango and the evolved sounds of tango nuevo.

The Trio Spezie performs a repertoire of traditional and folk songs and music from various parts of the world: Italy, France, Brazil and Argentina, as well as some reinterpretations of classical pieces and famous film soundtracks, rearranged for their unique instrumental line-up.
Le Patios of Teatro Due open at 18:00.
The Concerts require a Ticket costing 12€ which includes a drink at the Bar delle Terrazze.
