The imagery associated with Carnival is often visually reminiscent of the Commedia dell’Arte. The masks and costumes created by Andrea Sorrentino for the Neapolitan Carnival of  L’avventuriero , on the other hand, depict a much more visionary universe. Sorrentino’s creations are filled with the Baroque taste for the “marvellous”, featuring a heterogeneous mix of elements, including exotic plants and feathers and the bright colours of modern Bollywood.

Be inspired by the characters of this magnificent play, which will return to the stage  from 28 February to 8 March.
