ARCIPELAGHI 2025
Parma | Reggio Emilia
from May to November, 2025
The 2025 edition of the Reggio Parma Festival presents a kaleidoscopic array of activities that represent the culmination of various projects undertaken the previous year. These projects are aimed, in particular, at new generations of artists and their creative work, with the aim of promoting and stimulating an intergenerational transfer/exchange of knowledge that will stimulate the creative awareness of the new generation of live performers.
The project stems from the desire of the Reggio Parma Festival and all its partners – the Municipality of Parma, the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, the Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia, Fondazione Teatro Due and Fondazione Teatro Regio di Parma – to collaborate in the creation of a cultural offering capable of promoting the art and culture of the Reggio Emilia and Parma area from a national and international perspective, allowing it to reach audiences beyond those who already frequent theatres and live performances.
With Arcipelaghi 2025, Reggio Parma Festival is reaping the rewards of the seeds sown in recent years: artistic paths of research, training, openness to new knowledge and responsibility towards the public. This year, the collaboration between our partner institutions gives rise to a new mosaic of activities, centred around a project through which Reggio Parma Festival now focuses its attention on new authorship, Gradus in scena: the stage debut of four projects selected in 2024 by Gradus. Passaggi per il nuovo, dedicated to the professional debuts of artists under 35. Ours is intended to be an assumption of responsibility towards the world of live performance, the perimeter within which we operate, and at the same time a conscious – and to some extent visionary – approach to the present and future of our arts, with the bold (but not reckless) aim of contributing to the construction of new, possible horizons for the times we live in.
Luigi Ferrari, President of Reggio Parma Festival
