There have been several companies hosted in Teatro Due for medium-long periods in order to create their production in a safe place. Among them: Compagnia di Danza Artemis, the contemporary music ensemble Nextime Ensemble, the Michela Lucenti’s Balletto Civile.

At the moment, Fondazione Teatro Due hosts the residency of the Ensemble Europa Galante, directed by Maestro Fabio Biondi. Thanks to its interpretations of the classical and baroque repertoire with period instruments and techniques, the Ensemble is with no doubt one of the most important and prestigious musical groups in the world. Acclaimed everywhere, Europa Galante successfully performs in Japan, in the United States, Spain, Germany and France. The orchestra, directed by Fabio Biondi, has been the protagonist of the most important Teatro Due production of 2005, Marat-Sade by Peter Weiss. In Teatro Due Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante, in 2006 presented for the first time Bajazet in forma di concerto, opera in three acts by Vivaldi. Europa Galante’s vocal projects of 2006 include, other than Bajazet, the Ascanio in Alba by Mozart and the Didone by Francesco Cavalli, this one staged for the first time at the Malibran Theatre in Venice (production Teatro La Fenice di Venezia and Unione Musicale di Torino in collaboration with Fda – Facoltà di Design e Arti of IUAV University of Venice). From 1998, and after an important discography edited in collaboration with the OPUS111 record company, Europa Galante collaborates exclusively with VIRGIN CLASSICS for which it has published several albums that regularly have a massive success all around the world.
